Definita una tappa obbligatoria per chi ama i noodles (gli spaghetti dell'Estremo oriente), il "Momofuku Ando Istant Ramen Museum" (a Ikeda) porge omaggio all'inventore degli spaghetti istantanei e alla loro diffusione. Era il 1958 quando in una baracca di legno, nel retro della sua casa, Momofuku Ando inventò i Chicken Ramen. Da allora, questa comodissima specialità pronta in pochi secondi è arrivata persino nello spazio: il museo, infatti, ospita la "Space Ram", la macchina per noodles istantanei che nel 2005 uscì dall'atmosfera terrestre per accompagnare l'astronauta Soichi Noguchi, un grande appassionato di questo piatto. E se la storia di Momofuku Ando non dovesse avervi colpito abbastanza, quella del padre del "Mustard Museum" (il Museo della Mostarda di Middleton, Stati Uniti) potrebbe fare al caso vostro. Il 28 ottobre 1986 Barry Levenson , a quel tempo Assistente dell'Attorney General del Wisconsin, aveva appena assistito alla sconfitta della sua squadra del cuore - i Boston Red Sox - alla finalissima di baseball. Stava pensando al significato della sua vita in un supermercato, quando sentì una voce davanti al reparto mostarde. Una specie di vocazione: "Se ci collezionerai, diventerai ricco". E’ considerato uno dei più strambi musei di tutto il mondo, si tratta del Museo dei Capelli di Avanos, in Cappadocia. The Avanos hair museum situated in Cappadocia in Turkey is notably one of the strangest museums that you will come across. The museum is located in a small cave, underneath a pottery shop and contains hair samples, names and addresses from more than 16,000 women from all around the world. The museum was founded by Chez Galip, a talented potter in Avanos. According to Oddity Central, the museum was started over 30 years ago, when one of Galip’s friends had to leave Avanos, and he was very sad. To leave him something to remember her by, the woman cut a piece of her hair and gave it to the potter. Since then, the women who visited his place and heard the story gave him a piece of their hair and their complete address. Throughout the years, he has amassed an impressive collection of over 16,000 differently colored locks of hair, from women all around the world.
