Spesso vestiti di nero, capelli lunghi, credevano nella reincarnazione, erano quasi vegetariani (mangiavano pesce), pacifisti, dotati di un’ironia sottile e caustica, amavano i giochi di parole e gli scherzi,

si definivano i “Puri”, i “Perfetti”, i “Veri Cristiani”

ma pericolosissimi per la società feudale ed eretici per l'allora Chiesa di Roma.

Pericolosi perché erano riusciti a realizzare una comunità e una vera e propria chiesa parallela assolutamente slegata da Roma in un territorio vastissimo con un’economia basata sul lavoro abolendo l’accumulo e il senso di proprietà ridistribuendo gli introiti alla collettività, sia perché rifiutavano i dogmi e i riti per di più rovesciando completamente la dottrina ufficiale della Chiesa di Roma...

e qui la cosa prende una piega intrigante…

Dei vangeli loro accettavano solo il vangelo di Giovanni, ma sopratutto per i Catari la vita terrena, tutta la vita materiale, il mondo che noi conosciamo, è una creazione Satanica

in quanto il Dio della Bibbia non è il vero Dio ma Satana che nel suo allontanamento aveva portato con sé altri angeli e successivamente creato la materia, visibile, tangibile, ma effimera, falsa:

un’illusione in netto contrasto con la vera creazione che in realtà è

spirituale, angelica (per i Catari Gesù era un angelo), celeste, eterna, non visibile, divina

verso cui bisogna tornare.

E' quindi necessario purificarsi dalla dimensione terrestre considerata una sorta di penitenza-punizione:

rifiutavano la procreazione che altro non è che il mezzo per alimentare la creazione Satanica

che permette o di far reincarnare altri angeli caduti suoi adepti o suoi nuovi schiavi,

purificandosi dal mondo è invece possibile tornare in cielo senza successive reincarnazioni.

Dangerous because they had managed to build a community and a real parallel church absolutely unconnected from Rome in a vast territory with an economy based on work abolishing the accumulation and the sense of ownership redistributing the revenue to the community, and because it refused the dogmas and rites and completely overturning Church of Rome’official doctrine...

and the topic here is becoming intriguing ...

Of the gospels the Cathars accepted only the Gospel of John and over all for the Cathars the Earthly life, all material life, the World as we know it, is a Satanic creation:

the God of the Bible is not the true God but Satan that in his removal had brought with him other angels and subsequently created matter, visible, tangible, but ephemeral, false

an illusion in direct conflict with the real creation which is in fact

spiritual, angelic (for the Cathars Jesus was an angel), heavenly, eternal, invisible, divine

where we have to go back.

It is therefore necessary to purify themselves from Earthly Dimension

considered a kind of penance-punishment:

refused procreation that is nothing more than the means to feed the Satanic creation

which allows or to reincarnate other fallen angels his followers or his new slaves,

instead purifying themselves from the World is possible to go to heaven without successive reincarnations.
